July 2025 – Ride Report
Sydney Ride Report: Sunday 6th July – Grey Gums Cafe – Putty – 3 committee, 6 members, 7 guest
Sunshine was all around on this month’s ride once again. With 15 riders and 1 pillion passenger, we head off from Windsor along Pitt Town Rd and Wisemans Ferry Rd to Sackville Ferry. Once again navigating some sections of repair work along the way. Managing to keep the group together this time was a challenge given the missed corner marker at the left turn onto Sackville Ferry Rd. As the Ferry was still on the opposite side of the river, there was enough time for the end group to catchup before we crossed and descended on Tractor 828 for morning tea. As the venue had just changed hands there were no prolonged delays with service or receiving our orders. Another great chance to chat and catch up with friends new and old.
From here we head back towards the Hawkesbury River and headed west towards The Putty Rd. We continued along the Putty Rd with a stop at Colo Heights to regroup and refuel for only one that need it, before continuing the long remote section to Grey Gums Café. As always, the friendly staff at Grey Gums Café are always happy to see us, although it is a long ride out there it is well worth the travel for catch up and enjoyable a meal with our motorcycling friends.
